Weekend Photo Theme is a weekly photography article where Dale or Franca choose a theme, select 5 pictures to sum that theme up & tie them together with their interests of Architecture, Art, Design & Travel.
Our attention to street art grows day by day, it has now become one of our favorite forms of art. When we find a cool piece of street art that we particularly like, it becomes almost a mission to find more by the same artist. In cities famous for their street art scene like London, Paris and Berlin – just to name the biggest we’ve been to – it can be possible and easy to see more artworks by the same street artist, and it has happened many times to us.
During our last trip to Berlin we discovered a lot of new artists (at least new to us) like El Bocho and his ”Little Lucy” stickers for instance which I particularly fell in love with. It was impossible not to notice though the various cartoonized mushroom-looking stickers scattered everywhere in the city signed by Sope. They are pretty cute and can have quite funny expressions sometimes, but who is Sope? I tried to do some research because I want to know more about this street artist, but apart from other pictures of the ‘mushroom’ stickers I couldn’t find any information about Sope.
I’d just be curious to know if there is a message behind his street art pieces, what else he does and if he has worked only in Berlin or in other cities too. Please, if you know anything about Sope make sure to tell me in the comments below, thanks! In the meantime enjoy a small selection of his little ‘mushroom’ stickers.
