Following research, we loved what we saw about Hotel Sezz and asked to drop by to take some shots. They were kind enough to provide us with accommodation, however all thoughts and opinions are – as always – formed independently and without agreement to be favourable.
Paris, the frequently named “most romantic city in the world“, has some of the travel world’s most iconic places and memorable features; such as the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame cathedral, and the Louvre museum – but none of these can match the eternal icon status of the Eiffel Tower.
So iconic is the tower, that people from all over the world travel to stand beneath it’s enormous structure, and on top of that, people wish to stay as close to it as they can so they may take romantic strolls past it during the day, or dine near it under the light of a candle at the numerous restaurants that surround the Champ de Mars.
It’s for this reason that you’ll find the Hotel Sezz underneath the shadow of this fantastic tourist attraction.
Welcome, to Hotel Sezz
Putting aside our desire to see fantastic and well thought out design at the hotels we visit during our travels, what really makes an impression on us is the immediate welcome to the hotel; so, when we arrived at the hotel with our luggage in hand to a cheerful greeting, someone taking our luggage to our room and someone handing us a glass of champagne; we couldn’t have felt more welcome.
Member of DesignHotels
It’s no surprise that Hotel Sezz is a member of the DesignHotels group, of which, we’ve been quite the champion over the past two years and have rarely been disappointed.
Whilst we sat back enjoying our glasses and browsing through the many design hotel orientated books on show, the concierge and other members of the hotel staff prepared our room leaving us ample time to relax and, in time, walk about exploring the hotel.
The entrance way and lobby area are open and full of light both from the fittings and the large windows on one side of the room. It’s bright, yet warm, and a comfortable contrast to the neighbouring buildings.
Elsewhere on the ground floor of the building is the bar area where you can enjoy something to drink throughout the day, whether it’s a coffee over the buffet breakfast, or a glass of Veuve Clicquot before retiring for the night.
In the morning there is a lovely hot buffet for you enjoy before taking to the streets of Paris, with plenty on offer, it wasn’t long before we grabbed a newspaper and sat down to enjoy a hot cup of coffee with plenty of bakery to follow it with.
Of 26 rooms split between deluxe, junior suite and suite variations, we had the pleasure of staying in one of the deluxe that features a Japanese bath behind a large glass wall – certainly not for the shy amongst you! Be sure to share this room with someone you know very well indeed, or ask them politely to turn the other way or leave the room 😛
As always, I’m heavily addicted to taking a nice hot shower when we arrive somewhere to ease tired muscles and re-tune my thoughts to being somewhere new, and Hotel Sezz provide everything necessary in order to make that transition from ‘Travel Dale‘ to ‘Relaxed Dale‘ complete.
We both loved the large open bedroom with the bed taking centre stage in the middle of the room, and its few design features (such as the slide out drawers) were a delightful inclusion.
We’re not kidding when we wrote that we loved the room, in fact, we spent a fair amount of our time in the room seeing as the design was done with comfort and ultimate relaxation in mind. Luckily there was plenty of room and lighting to enable us to work and plan for our remaining days in Paris, and also for the following week after we left this incredible hotel.

Book a room at Hotel Sezz
First and foremost, the staff at Hotel Sezz are fantastic, and not in the standard ‘client, customer‘ way, no; the team interact with you on a friendly level in order to settle you in to your stay, after all, what use is very well done relaxing design ethos, if the people the fill the building aren’t on the same wavelength?
The smiles we saw from the moment we arrived started our stay off on the best possible way. We talked, we laughed and smiled ourselves and immediately felt at home here. The comfortable room, the stylish furniture and mood-setting lighting just added to our total level of pleasure.
