Walking in the streets of Berlin is like entering into a contemporary art museum full of creative art on every wall, corner, bridge and any possible empty space waiting to be ‘decorated’ and the best part of it is that is free of charge.
Not every day and in every city will you have the chance to admire some of the most well known street artists’ works that one day probably will be sold at a high price to collectors like the Banksy’s pieces for instance. In Berlin you can definitely enjoy all of this, without making a massive effort either because everywhere you go there will be some cool street art waiting to be discovered.
I believe these days Berlin is probably the core of street art, many international artists leave their signatures in the city which has increased Berlin’s street art fame. I personally love this kind of urban art, no matter if it is done with brushes, posters, spray cans, stickers, stencils or in and any other way. What I like about it is how it changes so fast and it seems like a fast pace, dynamic and constantly mutating city making Berlin the best place for this form of art.
Every time I go to Berlin I like to see if I can spot any new street art to enlarge my personal knowledge. Of course I have my favorite street artists and I don’t like everything I see, but I always look around everywhere with an open mind hoping for some new stuff to appreciate.
During our last visit to the German Capital we of course went crazy and took a lot of photos of street art which we would like to share with you all and, if you appreciate this kind of art, you’ll probably like what is coming, so take a walk with us through Berlin’s streets.
