Weekend Photo Theme is a weekly photography article where Dale or Franca choose a theme, select 5 pictures to sum that theme up & tie them together with their interests of Architecture, Art, Design & Travel.

Whilst travelling one thing that really makes us happy is observing the many different kinds of architecture we might come across no matter if old, classic or new and cutting hedge. We like to watch, to discover but also to be critical about our findings, we cannot like everything right?

So far we have seen some incredibly weird buildings with very interesting shapes and structures. Some of them are so unusual compared to what I’m used to that sometimes I wonder how they manage to stand, challenging the rules of gravity. I’m not an architect so I don’t know the correct answer to that, I only believe they are miracles of the modern and contemporary architecture.

Following in order we have: the Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands’ Hotel and the Helix Bridge, My Zeil Shopping Centre in Frankfurt, a private house in the middle of Hang Dong’s countryside in Northern Thailand, the Asashi Breweries in Tokyo and finally the Singapore’s ArtScience Museum.
