There is something about buildings built with red bricks that I really like. It’s to do with their texture, the colour, their solid and strong appearance and their history. Brick architecture is in fact mainly found in locations where there wasn’t much of any other building material and stone like some areas of Northern Germany. This might have been a big problem at that time, but I’m so glad people came out with the genius idea of using bricks instead.
I love how these buildings have a very austere look, how the red bricks are perfectly aligned to create very tidy facades and how they seem indestructible (at least to me).
