Weekend Photo Theme is a weekly photography article where Dale or Franca choose a theme, select 5 pictures to sum that theme up & tie them together with their interests of Architecture, Art, Design & Travel.
We’ve been in Berlin for almost two weeks now and we are enjoying every single day trying not to think of the day when eventually we have to leave. We love this vibrant city a lot for various reasons, one being the amazing street art that there is at every corner.
We discovered many street art artists that we didn’t know about and saw a lot of new works of some other artists which we were already familiar with.
El Bocho is the nickname of one of the new discoveries and we both like his style a lot. His works are mainly cut outs, posters and other installations that are scattered in various locations in Berlin.
One of El Bocho street art pieces that captured my attention is a series of posters/stickers called “Little Lucy” which became his signature symbol in 2003 when he first created her.
This cheeky little doll looking girl is inspired to a 70’s Czech TV series called Lucy—Streets bugaboo which, at some point, I’ll need to know more about.
Here are few of the “Little Lucy” we saw, hope you enjoy them!
