Due to circumstances that couldn’t be resolved either with a camera technician or a swift slam on the table, our camera has finally waved it’s final goodbye after a year of relentless amateur photography comes to an end.
To cut a long story short it seems that the lens on our compact camera wouldn’t retract back into the body and no efforts by ourselves or the advice of various camera shops in Verona could remedy it, and that makes us incredibly sad.
Unfortunately it seems that the only way to remedy this problem is for us to return the camera to the original store of purchase in our starting point back in the UK or to send the camera back to Canon to be fixed – an impossibility considering we don’t know where we’ll be from one day to the next leaving us with no stable return address.
However, rather than be miserable at our misfortune and the demise of our tiny electronic friend, we thought that instead of shedding a tear we’d instead celebrate the rich and colourful life of what was a very fortunately well travelled camera. So, bearing that in mind we thought we’d showcase just a few of our most special photos and favourites from the past 14 months of travel.
“Goodbye old friend”
Now it’s time to adopt another camera, one that will carry on the great example set before it by our late friend.
